Located in the charming hill country town of Spicewood, this renovation project consisted of a total transformation and addition to change the identity and feel of the existing home. The design focused on taking advantage of the views by maximizing the quantity of windows and expanding and enclosing part of the porch to enlarge the dining area, add a screened porch, and allow for a new entry. New white exterior limestone was added the façade, while specially treated Accoya wood was incorporated throughout the interior and exterior for durability and sustainability. The space previously occupied by a fireplace was converted into a sleek wet bar display, and a new fireplace was added on the other side of the living room. A new pool and extensive patio and outdoor living spaces make the most of the Texas-sized hill country views. The remodel redesigned an existing 2-car garage into an entertaining party barn space and added several additional buildings including a new 2-car garage, gym, porte cochere, and double guest casitas with shared outdoor space. Warm and natural materials, integrated with contemporary elements and furnishings give the casual home stylish, yet rustic appeal.
